Lisman Forklifts & Cruyff Foundation strengthen cooperation!
Since 2017, Lisman has been working closely with the Cruyff Foundation.
What started with the realization of a Cruyff Court in IJsselstein, has grown into a lasting cooperation in which we help children get moving - especially where it is not self-evident.
Lisman is proud to be an official supplier of the Cruyff Foundation. Together we are committed to equal opportunities and sporting enjoyment for all.
About the Cruyff Foundation
The Cruyff Foundation supports and develops impactful sports and play projects worldwide. In doing so, we focus on children and young people for whom sport is not self-evident. We do this with sports projects for children with disabilities, by equipping outdoor sporting spaces in focus areas and community sports programs.

- 2017 - Milestone: the 50th anniversary
Lisman celebrates the 50th anniversary of Lisman Forklifts;. This is celebrated grandly with staff and relations. Lisman also celebrates being located in IJsselstein for 30 years. The long association with IJsselstein and the fact that many colleagues come from the neighborhood gave us the idea to build a Cruyff Court in IJsselstein together with the municipality of IJsselstein and the Cruyff Foundation.
- 2018 - Contract with Cruyff Foundation.
A meeting was organized in the IJsselhal for local residents of IJsselveld. Interested residents met with the municipality and youth workers to discuss the construction of a Cruyff Court to replace the existing soccer cage.
The contract has been signed! On behalf of Lisman, director Bob Backers signs the official documents confirming the sponsorship worth €100k and with this the start of the Cruyff Court is a fact.
- 2019 - Start construction Cruyff Court IJsselstein
October 2019, the municipality of IJsselstein started the construction of the new Cruyff Court at the Televisiebaan, between the Journaalpad and the Journaalplantsoen. Children need a safe play area that invites them to play outside. That's why there are Cruyff Courts. A safe meeting place where children learn about the importance of togetherness, make friends, discover their own talents and experience what it is like to win and lose with each other. Valuable experiences that they take with them in their development physically and mentally, as well as in society.
- 2019 - Delay during construction
Due to setbacks during construction, the realization of the soccer field is delayed. As a result, completion will be pushed back to early 2020.
- 2020 - Corona throws a spanner in the works
The Cruyff Court is ready! But the world is in the grip of corona and as a result of corona measures in force, the municipality of IJsselstein organized a small-scale opening celebration in March 2020. This subdued meeting was attended by IJsselstein's alderman, a representative of Stichting Pulse and delegates from the Cruyff Foundation.
- 2021 - Grand opening Cruyff Court
The time had finally come: on September 22, 2021, the grand official opening of the Cruyff Court IJsselstein took place.
- 2023 - 14 Values of Lisman incorporated into Lisman house rules
Since 2018, Lisman has adopted the 14 rules of Johan Cruijff. These so-called “14 rules” , which we ourselves experience more as core values than rules of play, we named as a capstone for the way of working within Lisman, because we see many similarities between these rules and the values Lisman stands for. So it was a logical consequence that these rules were included in the revised Lisman house rules.
- 2025 - Partnership Lisman & Cruyff Foundation
To ratify the partnership, Lisman and the Cruyff foundation entered into a new sponsorship agreement. During a meeting with the entire staff in our staff restaurant, this extended partnership is explained by Koen Lisman and two representatives of the Cruyff Foundation. Entirely in the spirit of Johan Cruijff: ''Alone you can't do anything, you have to do it together''
