Junior Forklift Mechanics

We are looking for junior mechanics who want to learn and grow. You will diagnose problems, troubleshoot malfunctions, and repair machines so that they are ready for sale. With our guidance, you will develop into an all-round mechanic.

The Technical Department consists of a workshop and, as part of Operations (together with Shipping), forms the heart of the organization alongside Commerce (Sales & Purchasing). Five mechanics work in the workshop.

We are looking for:

Technicians who take part in the entire technical process: diagnosing, fixing faults, and performing repairs to ensure machines are ready for resale.

You may be working with:

  1. Electrical systems
  2. Electric & combustion engines, transmissions, and hydrostats
  3. Hydraulic systems
  4. Troubleshooting and diagnostics of the above systems, possibly using computers and diagnostic equipment
  5. A wide range of various types of material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet trucks, rough terrain vehicles, aerial work platforms, etc.)

As a Lisman technician, you turn your passion into your profession. You’ll diagnose problems and repair used machines so customers around the world can enjoy them for many years to come. Creativity and versatility are key in this rewarding role.

After an onboarding period in our Technical Department, you’ll work flexibly across various tasks. Within the team, you should be able to support your colleagues. Depending on your educational background, we offer the opportunity to be trained as a fully qualified technician.

WHAT WE ASK:

An enthusiastic candidate with a technical mindset and a minimum of basic vocational education (LBO) level. Experience with computers is a plus. Given our international trade, some knowledge of English is always helpful. You can work independently as well as part of a team — always on-site at our location in IJsselstein.

Given Lisman’s ambitions, you should possess the following personal qualities: customer and service-oriented, flexible, cost-conscious, professional, collegial, and a hands-on mentality. And you’re not afraid to get your hands dirty!

WHAT WE OFFER:

Lisman Forklifts offers an attractive package of employment conditions, including a gross monthly salary of €3,000 to €3,500, depending on your experience. You’ll receive 25 vacation days and 13 additional (ADV) days per calendar year for a full-time position, as well as participation in a collective pension scheme. You’ll receive proper guidance and there are opportunities for further (internal) training.

In short: a varied and challenging job in a pleasant working environment with an international feel. But perhaps the most important part — you’ll work at a family-owned company with a healthy mix of people and long-standing employees, where continuity and teamwork are central. Thanks to our friendly atmosphere, new colleagues quickly feel at home.
